Megan Batty charmed us in her interview, and further impressed us during her audition. She is a graduate student at McGill in Feminist studies and Musicology, having recently completed Bachelor degrees in Education and Music. A thoroughly seasoned chorister, she continues to sing with Montreal choirs and has experience as Associate and Assistant Director. She is also a swing dancer who explicitly incorporates the body into her pedagogy with choirs. We all feel that her skills and energy suit Choeur Maha and the direction we have been taking over the last years both with Kathy Kennedy, and more recently with Solène Derbal. We are looking forward to our year focused on songs of Resistance and Revolution, and to enjoying our brand new collaboration with Megan.
