20th Anniversary Gala Concert

Montreal, Monday May 9th 2011 – It’s springtime and Choeur Maha, Montreal's own eclectic and groundbreaking women's choir, presents two special events on the last weekend in May to celebrate the choir's 20th anniversary: a gala-concert at the Cabaret du Mile-End on May 28th and an outdoor event in Jeanne Mance Park on the 29th.

THE 20th ANNIVERSARY SPRING GALA – SATURDAY MAY 28th – Choeur Maha’s 20th anniversary weekend celebrations will kick off on Saturday, May 28th at the Cabaret du Mile-End with a “reunion” concert: the 20th Anniversary Spring Gala! For the event, past choir members will join forces with current Maha members. The concert is a "snapshot” of the Mile End arts scene over the past two decades. Maha alumnae featured performances include spoken word artist Cat Kidd, singer songwriter Robin Gorn and Sandra Luciantonio of Go Van Gogh fame. The event will be hosted by Danette Mackay, originator of the infamous Kiss My Cabaret series.
